A letter to myself

(I wrote this poem back in 2017 but this one poem always reminds me of why i started in the first place )

Never forget your tears
Those restless nights
Those fears
Those moments which tore you apart
Those incidents which became your part
Its a journey
You will make mistakes
But mistakes are worthy only if we learn
Experience and wisdom is all what we earn
Don't be afraid of committing mistakes
Don't be afraid of accepting them
Don't be egoist enough to learn from them
Learn and grow
Keep aside your ego
There will be hurdles
But warriors are meant for battles
Don't be too hard on your self
Be a mentor for your self
Don't accept a lot
Keep appreciating every plot
Don't let their appreciations and criticism decide your value
Its you and only you who will decide your hue
You are meant to go very far
Far even from that farthest star
Journey won't be easy
distractions will make it messy
You keep growing on
Your saviour is beside you
Don't stop and keep moving on
There is still a lot you have to win upon

Life , a level playing field

 Yesterday , i was watching discovery plus. There i came across an episode of 'The jewels of wild ' . It was a like any other episode showing animals running to have food and to save themselves from becoming food.  Then , i came across a fact which was truly mesmerizing. So, there was a lion chasing a young giraffe. Now, the fact was that lions never chase an adult giraffe because there kicks are powerful enough go bring a lion down.  Woah!! Albeit , a simple looking fact but if we ponder upon this deeply it is truly an eye opener.  We often complain for things, for having less than others , for being less privileged than others and so on. But, my dear friend , like this small example from nature , a giraffe might not be privileged enough to have a lion's might but it too is blessed enough to have a strong kick. A forced language.

When I was in 3rd standard I got admitted to a new school, Vardhaman Vidya Vihar secondary school. Like it is for every newcomer my new school was a total fascinating thing for me, a new dress, a new bag, new stationery, but the thing which fascinated me most was that everyone, literally everyone was speaking in English.  Till that time, I could barely converse in English, but I was the most talkative girl when it came to speaking in marwadi or Hindi ( my mother tongues)! In this new school we "have" had to speak in English "only", the two exceptional periods were that of Hindi and Sanskrit when we were "allowed" to speak in Hindi.  On my first day, there was no teacher in class, I got up and asked the monitor.... paani bharnn....( monitor)- speak in English.....I again tried to speak .. paani bhaaa... again I was ordered to speak in English only. Life is a long journey from human being to being humane.

  "Human beings" have been referred as the most evolved and the most intelligent of all the species , ever born on this planet (subject to human knowledge ) - by human beings themselves .And perhaps true as well, the human endeavor and the resulting development we see through human intelligence is far beyond the capabilities of any other creature. The monuments , the music, the dance forms, the textiles, the food cuisines ,the rockets, the skyscrapers- all of them are at par with excellence and are a proof how human beings have conquered nature and its vital force.   But the question which comes to my mind is, other than faster evolution, what is the difference between a human being and an animal. This question is genuine given that both have equal needs subject to hunger, shelter, reproduction, social relations and ecosystems.   If human beings have learnt to grow their own food, then so have been done by other species as well.
